I’d like if we could try again,
To see if we might be friends.
I’d like to get to know you,
Without the letters or the emails;
I don’t want one-sided conversations.
It could do us some good
To meet old people
And discover something new.
After all this time,
We could do with with pleasant surprises.
You know where I’ll be
If you make up your mind that we
Put the past behind us
And make something new of ourselves.
